Description
Ski lift lines are 16-braided, impregnated ropes made of polyester multifilament with a tight weave to maintain their round shape and stability. They exhibit excellent abrasion resistance and very high UV resistance. These lines do not float and have low elongation.
Material and Properties:
- Polyester multifilament: The lines are made of polyester multifilament fibers, known for its high durability and low stretch characteristics.
- Impregnation: Special impregnation makes the ropes water-repellent and provides additional protection against UV radiation. The impregnation also enhances grip and friction, preventing the ropes from slipping during use.
Examples of Applications:
- Lift lines: These ropes are specifically designed for use in chairlifts and button lifts at ski resorts. The water-repellent impregnation prevents the ropes from freezing and becoming stiff, ensuring safe operation of the lifts.
- Starter cords: The ropes can also be used as starter cords in garden machinery or boat engines.
Advantages: These specially designed ski lift lines feature protective impregnation for water repellency. Their low stretch and high abrasion resistance make them perfect for their intended purposes.
