Description
Polyamide is a 3-strand rope that offers excellent properties for a variety of applications.
Material and properties: Polyamide is a versatile fiber, mostly known for it’s elasticity properties.
- Nylon: “nylon” is another word for polyamide and these ropes are made of 100% polyamide multifilament, which is a thermoplastic polymer with outstanding strength and elastic properties, as well as high UV resistance properties.
- High strength: Compared to polyester rope, which has a similar appearance, polyamide has higher tensile strength, is lighter and has greater elongation capability, providing excellent shock absorption.
- Elastic: Polyamide is a very elastic fiber which makes these ropes absorb shock and dampen the effect of quick jerks, that can otherwise be harmful to other types of fibers.
Applications: Polyamide is a versatile rope used in various applications where its unique properties are beneficial. Examples of applications include:
- Reinforcement lines (edge lines) for safety nets: The rope can be used as reinforcement in safety nets, where its high tensile strength and elasticity are valuable properties.
- Safety lines: Where good elasticity and shock absorption are required, such as in certain safety applications like fall protection, etc.
Advantages: Polyamide offers the benefits of high tensile strength and elasticity, making it ideal for situations where ropes or lines must withstand heavy loads and shock stresses.
Polyamide is a 3-strand polyamide multifilament rope with excellent strength properties, elasticity and good UV resistance. Its ability to handle shock loads makes it an excellent choice for various safety-related applications and other situations requiring high performance.
