Description
Tarline XP is a 3-strand rope with unique characteristics and applications.
Material and properties: Tarline XP is made from a blend of dark brown Danline fiber (70%) and dark olive green polyester multifilament (30%).
- Material blend: The combination of materials in these ropes give them a special hue reminiscent of tarred hemp, providing a rustic and traditional aesthetic.
- Strong and durable: The ropes have excellent abrasion resistance due to the polyester multifilament and reliable UV resistance. They have a semi-floating capability, meaning they have some buoyancy in water, although they do not float entirely. The elongation at break for this type of rope is approximately 20%.
Applications: Tarline XP is versatile and used in various contexts and projects. Examples of applications include:
- Running and standing rigging for sailboats: Tarline XP is suitable for use in the sailing industry and can be used for running and standing rigging on sailboats. Its durability and reliability make it a good choice for these applications.
- Mooring lines: The rope can be used as mooring lines for boats and ships. Its ability to handle loads and its abrasion resistance make it a durable option for mooring.
- Decorations: Tarline XP is also sought after in the decoration sector where its aesthetic qualities, especially its resemblance to tarred hemp, make it ideal for various decorative purposes and projects.
- Barrier rope: The rope can be used to create barriers and safety zones at events or construction sites where a reliable and durable barrier is required.
Advantages: Tarline XP combines the traditional appearance of tarred hemp with modern materials and properties. It is strong, abrasion-resistant and has good UV resistance. Its applications span across multiple industries, from sailing to decorations and barriers.
