Description

Hot-dip galvanized long-link chain for use in marine environments.

Material and properties: The chain has undergone a hot-dip galvanizing process, providing it with an extra protective zinc coating to enhance its durability and resistance to corrosion. The chain is manufactured in accordance with DIN763 standard Grade 40, also known as Class 4. It is long-linked, making it easy to attach fittings or fasteners to the ends. This also makes it lighter than short-link chain without compromising strength.

Applications: Long-link, hot-dip galvanized chain Class 4 is primarily used in marine environments for mooring and anchoring. Here are some examples of its uses:

  • Dock mooring: Hot-dip galvanized long-link chain is often used for dock mooring. Its high corrosion resistance and robust construction make it a reliable choice for securing boats and ships at docks. It provides stability and security in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • Buoy mooring: The chain is also suitable for buoy mooring, where it is used as a link between the mooring stone or P-ring and the buoy.

Advantages: Hot-dip galvanized long-link chain is a reliable choice in marine environments where corrosion resistance and durability are of utmost importance. At least 75 µm of galvanization provides the chain with extra corrosion protection in water and seas with higher salinity.
