Description
Örnbojen
Örnbojen is an innovative mooring buoy with a hollow pipe top.
Material and characteristics: Örnbojen is constructed with a robust outer shell of impact-resistant polyethylene plastic, providing exceptional durability against collisions and damage. The shell is filled with polystyrene foam, a recyclable cellular plastic material offering excellent buoyancy properties while being freon-free. The buoy is designed to maintain its full buoyancy even if the outer shell is damaged. Its polyethylene plastic material is environmentally friendly and recyclable, proven durable and reliable in marine environments over the long term.
Applications: For easy adjustment of chain length, Örnbojen is equipped with a hot-dipped galvanized pipe top with attachment. This design facilitates the mooring process whether using chain or rope. The mooring line can smoothly pass through the hot-dipped galvanized pipe to the attachment point in the top, streamlining deployment and any adjustments.
Advantages: The hollow pipe top allows for mooring the buoy from the top of the pipe down to the buoy stone or P-ring. This capability also enables mooring the boat at the top of the pipe, facilitating docking and departure from the dock.

Danfender
Danfender PE mooring buoys are designed to offer outstanding durability and safety for mooring applications.
Material and characteristics: Unlike traditional inflatable mooring buoys, these buoys feature a robust polyethylene (PE) hard-shell exterior, carefully filled with high-density PUR foam. This design ensures the buoy remains buoyant even if damaged.
The thimbles and swivels are hot-dip galvanized to resist corrosion and withstand the harsh marine environment. Additionally, the upper parts of the rods are coated with a protective black Rilsan finish.
Applications: When mooring your boat in a Danfender mooring buoy, always use the lower loop (swivel). This ensures your boat maintains a direct connection to the anchor, enhancing stability and safety. The upper loop is exclusively for retrieving the buoy and for additional safety measures.
Note that the maximum loading capacity for a PEM buoy is 60% of the stated buoyancy. Adhering to this loading capacity ensures optimal buoy performance and the buoy remains safe for use.
Advantages: Danfender’s foam-filled, hard PE mooring buoys are strong and reliable. These buoys have been used by both recreational boaters and professionals worldwide for many decades, designed to withstand the toughest marine conditions and ensure your boat’s safety.
