Description: Wire rope clips are a practical solution used to secure ropes and cables in various applications, from mooring to lifting and hoisting equipment.

Materials and characteristics: Manufactured from hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel, these wire rope clips provide strong fastening for cables and ropes. They consist of a ring with two threaded ends, nuts and a locking mechanism.

Applications: Wire rope clips are ideal for situations where two rope ends need to be secured in position without slipping. Applications range from mooring posts, rigging and swings to climbing ropes, railing ropes, rope bridges, netting and scaffolding for heavy lifting and more.

• Securing loops: By doubling the rope through the wire rope clip and locking it when a loop is needed, there is no need to splice the rope. This facilitates quick and secure connections, enhancing versatility for various applications. By doubling the rope through the wire rope clip and tightening the nuts, the rope is clamped and creates a stable and durable loop at the other end. Using two wire rope clips per loop, especially for heavy lifts, helps ensure the durability of the locking even if one of the clamps were to rust or loosen. It is important to have enough rope in the ring to clamp it properly during locking. Locks with a width of 16 mm can often be used for thicker ropes (e.g., 18 mm) by pressing the rope into the loop before tightening the lock.
